Face-to-face when it matters
I'll meet you at your shop, town hall, or the diner down the road. The big agencies can't do that — and most of them don't really want to.
Birchwood, Wisconsin
I'm a local web designer based in Birchwood, helping businesses and municipalities across the Northwoods get a strong online presence. No long distance agencies or awkward video calls. No agency price tag or dealing with someone three states away that you'll never meet.
In-person meetings available within ~1 hour of Rice Lake.
Why work with a local
Most rural businesses end up with one of two options: a generic template service that doesn't know the area, or an agency in the Cities billing big-city rates. There's a better third option.
I'll meet you at your shop, town hall, or the diner down the road. The big agencies can't do that — and most of them don't really want to.
When something on your site needs fixing, you'll hear back the same day during business hours. No ticket queues, no offshore handoffs.
I'm raising my family in the Northwoods. Helping local businesses means helping our families.
Services & pricing
Every business is different — these are starting points, and most projects get a custom quote after a quick conversation. What you won't get is "starts at $5,000" agency theater or surprise charges.
A modern, mobile-first website built for your business — not a template. Designed, written, launched, and yours to keep. Final price depends on scope (number of pages, custom features, content migration).
Starting at $200/mo
Keep your site running and up-to-date. The basics, done right.
Most popular
Starting at $500/mo
Everything in Care, plus the marketing fundamentals that actually move the needle for a local business.
Starting at $1,000/mo
A full marketing partnership. Site, search, ads, and ongoing content — all handled.
Town governments and complex projects get custom quotes — municipal partnerships typically start around $1,200/month. Every client owns their domain and site outright. No lock-in, ever.
For non-technical owners
Most of the business owners I work with are great at their craft and not particularly interested in becoming web developers. Good — that's what I'm for. Here's how it actually goes:
Coffee, phone call, or video — whatever you prefer. Tell me about your business, what you have now, and what you wish you had. No pitch deck.
I design and build your site, set up your Google Business Profile, and get analytics in place. You don't need to learn anything new.
I'll show you the site before it goes live. Want to change the photos, the wording, the colors? Easy — that's why we do this part first.
Hours change. New employees join. Promotions come and go. Email or text me; I'll handle it. You go run your business.

About Long Lake Digital
I'm Carson. I started Long Lake Digital because there's a real gap up here: small businesses and town governments that know they need a stronger online presence.
My approach is simple. I show up. I do good work. I charge fair prices. And I stay around — because I'm not going anywhere either. My family lives here, I care about these towns, and the businesses I work with are the same ones I shop at.
If you've ever been frustrated trying to update your own website, or you've put off having one because the whole thing feels too technical — I'd love to take that off your plate.
